- Sea cave
- Wind/eolian cave
- Primary/lava cave
- And then the one we will focus on for the week: Solution/limestone caves - most common in our area; karst, groundwater, sinkholes
- There are even underwater caves; cave diving - this cave was a regular limestone cave during the last ice age but flooded when the water table rose
- STEM: Create a cave, make carbonic acid - limestone can be ordered through Amazon
Underground stream shaping the cavern |

Thursday:
- Science: Rock life cycle - diagram showing the rock cycle as it moves through the land

Friday:
History/Culture: How people have used caves over time -
- "Cavemen," Native Americans/Inuit people
- Media: New Mexico cave pueblos; Colorado cave pueblos
- Art: Make your own cave drawings on the driveway with chalk or in a big cardboard box with markers, crayons, or paint (or if you're really adventurous, you can make your own cave paint just like the cavemen did); what would you want to tell others who visited your cave after you were gone, what is the story you would want to tell?
- Media: Watch Brother Bear
- The kiddos wanted to learn what cavemen ate and how they hunted; good opportunity to try some paleo recipes
Saturday: Field Trip to Longhorn Cavern State Park or any caverns near you
