Perks of Still Being Pregnant!

I have had extreme baby fever over the past couple of days, and now that my Labor Buddy has had her baby boy (10:20 AM yesterday morning), I am dying to meet our little baby Chayton!

So, before I go insane, I thought I would try to sit back, smell the roses, and try to enjoy my last 9 days of pregnancy before we have a newborn in the house again. Though I do believe the "newborn" stage is the easiest stage, it will definitely be a change to do it all over again, this time with an older baby on a completely different schedule and wavelength in the mix.

So, here's to being pregnant for 9 more days!

Here are a few perks that I will miss after little Chayton arrives: ...I guess being pregnant CAN have a silver lining, no matter how ready you are for it to be over with! Haha!

  • Not having to get someone to watch two babies when we want to/need to go somewhere
  • Being able to leave the house without feeling quite as guilty and worrying about breast milk and such
  • Not really looking forward to breastfeeding again (never really fell in love with it last time), but I DO know how important it is and will do it for as long as possible
  • Not having to buy formula and diapers for two babies (luckily Anna will be drinking whole milk soon, and we will be starting potty-training a few months after Chayton is born)
  • Having some time to myself during Anna's naps
  • Being able to talk, have the TV on, watch a full movie, so on, now that Anna is in her own room
  • Not having a period
  • Not having to worry about keeping a bra on during "intimate time" with the hubby for fear of leaking all over him ...though it will be nice to be able to have "intimate time" again, it's been ages! Haha!
  • Still having at least SOME room in my teeny Corolla because there are not yet two car seats in it (yes, we are looking into getting another vehicle, thank Jesus)
  • Not getting up every two hours for feedings at night with the baby, while being up all day long between him and Anna
  • Not having to get two kids out the door and around the places we go (strollers, baby carriers, diaper bags, etc.)
  • Not having to keep one quiet while the other naps/sleeps at night ...wonder how that's gonna go
  • Not having to handle the nurturing and attention needs of two babies at the same time
  • Not trying to stay organized with two sets of everything
  • Not having the stress that the hubby will feel he is under to provide for two kids (no alone time, complete lack of date nights, etc.)
  • Not yet dealing with the fears of raising a boy

So, again, I guess it's not ALL bad. I will keep pushing on, even though I'm sure I can think of an even longer list of the perks of not being pregnant anymore! Haha!

So, what's your list? I would love to hear all the things you will miss about pregnancy!
